Soft Tissue Release (FHT accredited)
Soft Tissue Release (FHT accredited)
Following a brief review of the anatomy and physiology of soft tissue, and the changes in the feel of the tissues, resulting from heavy training loads or injury, is followed by a discussion of how soft tissue release (STR) techniques can achieve positive results. The two basic movements of STR are taught (active and passive) and then participants move into practical sessions, applying STR skills and techniques to different body areas. By the end of the unit you should feel confident in applying STR techniques and be able to integrate them into your own treatment sessions.
- The physiology of how this STR effects the soft tissues
- Cautions and contra-indications of use
- Passive and active upper and lower body STR techniques
